Meet The Staff
Joseph P. Manuele, MD completed his surgical residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo in 1982. Dr. Manuele is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Bariatric Society. Dr. Manuele has practiced at Visalia Medical Clinic since 1986. Dr. Manuele has more than 20 years of surgical experience, and he has been performing advanced Laparoscopic procedures since 1990. He now performs The LAP-BAND® Adjustable Gastric Banding for weight loss.
Marlene Collins, Registered Nurse – Marlene has worked with Dr. Manuele for the past 20 years assisting to provide unsurpassed clinical care for surgical patients. As patient progress through the VMC Weight Loss Program Marlene will aid patients in their initial educational consult, as well as all clinical follow up visits in their weight loss journey.
Kari McCorkill, Bariatric Patient Advocate – As Bariatric Patient Advocate Kari provides patients with education on bariatric surgery, assistance with insurance verification and approval, is a liaison between the patient and Dr. Manuele, and supports the patient thought their weight loss journey.
